I hereby waive and discharge The Ohio Police and Fire Games, Inc., (hereafter known as “the Games”) the Canton Police Department, and any organizations associated with this event (including, but not limited to: members, government entities, colleges, universities, high schools, sponsors, private businesses, and any employees or associates thereof), from any and all liability as a result of my participation in the Games, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
I understand that accidents, illness, injury, serious bodily injury, fatalities and/or property damage can occur during the physical activity involved in competing in the Games, as a result of negligence or otherwise.
Knowing the risks involved, I nevertheless agree to assume those risks and to release persons and/or entities mentioned above for any and all claim of accident, illness, injury, serious bodily injury, death, or property damages occurring at any time, whether it occurred in travel to and/or from the Games, on the grounds where the Games are held, and or during the course of competition in the Games.
Additionally, I release the Games and the Canton Police Department from any and all claims of damages that are a result of weather conditions and its effect on the schedule of competition.
It is finally agreed that this complete waiver of liability is binding on my heirs and assigns. I have read, understood and certify my agreement to this waiver by my signature and/or by my acknowledgement during the online registration process.
